Construction Methods & WOOD GRADE
-
Open Construction Methods
We offer several construction methods to make your planning smooth and precise. Shown above is a partially open construction method. When viewed from the right, the treads are fully exposed. Fully-open or partially-opened construction methods are best to emphasize decorative handrails and balusters because they are connected to the steps (treads). Right and left options are available for customization.
-
Stain Grade Hardwood
Our most popular and elegant treads are stain grade. As noted, we offer southern yellow pine, maple, white, and red oak. Hardwood lead times vary by species. Our materials contain uniform grain and very few knots.
-
Paint Grade Hardwood
Our paint grade materials offer a flat service for a smooth finish. We highly suggest our maple hardwood for the most economical and ideal option especially when finishing risers (as shown).
